New Roofs, Main house chemneys restored, damaging or dead/ dying over grown trees removed, basement fully cemented, old insulation sucked out in main attics floor boards and installed new installion to under to roof trusses. All this is DONE Yeah!!!!All of this needed to be done before the real updates on our interior could be started.
Evan and I have been chipping at the walls and ceiling over the last few months. Pulling out lath and plaster and making way for updated electrcial, hvac and plumbing. My first room to finish is another bathroom. It hasn’t been easy with 4 people ( 2 of them girls one pre teen and the other a new teen) using one bathroom. So my first next step in our long process in remodeling is updating the bathroom upstairs.
We believe this bathroom may have been added in the 1950’s or at least had the last major update then. As the original communical houses didn’t have a bathroom or kitchens in it. So the 1940-50’s wouldn’t be far fetched. We are having a professional plumber come out and install pex and move a few openings and placements to be more efficient. But in general we are keeping this same layout. As it is almost the same layout as the main bath below. Why fix something that isn’t broken, right?! Plus we are adding a large master bath to the house to eventually make this a 3 bath 5 bedroom home.
So please enjoy the pictures and as always thank you for coming along on our family’s journey.
